Lochhead, a oo scale railway

I made a start today on the point control for the layout as this needs to be done before I start on the above board scenic work. The rodding is made from 2.5mm garden wire and the cranks are tile spacers with a couple of legs cut off. I still need to fit micro switches to change the crossing polarity but hopefully that won't cause any problems

A few weeks ago I got a couple of Dapol unpainted gunpowder vans. They aren't the best detailed models but for the price they will do me. I've now replaced the spoked wheels with 3 hole ones, added cast buffers, vacuum cylinders and tie bars from small brass angle. I still need to add instanter couplings and vacuum hoses, sometime over the next few days hopefully. They have also had a coat of paint but still need lettering Up to now I'm happy with how it's turned out, now to finish the second one
